MY OPINION, IF I MAY ENTER JUST A BIT INTO THE DISCUSSION, IS THAT MEN AND WOMEN BY NATURE ARE EQUAL BUT NOT THE SAME. THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN A MAN AND A WOMAN IS ONE OF COMPLEMENTARITY, NOT SAMENESS. THEY ARE LIKE NIGHT AND DAY: TWO HALVES OF ONE WHOLE, THE WHOLE BEING HUMANITY. THEY HAVE DIFFERENT STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES, AND DIFFERENT VISIONS, DIFFERENT WAYS OF EXPRESSING EMOTIONS AND DIFFERENT NEEDS, BUT THEY ARE EQUAL. THE FEMINISTS CANNOT ACCEPT THIS INEVITABLE EQUALITY, THEY MUST GET A CHALKBOARD AND KEEP SCORE. WHATEVER HE HAS, SHE MUST HAVE. WHATEVER DUTIES SHE PERFORMS HE MUST PARTICIPATE IN. THUS THEY TRY TO FORCE NIGHT AND DAY TO MELD INTO EACH OTHER WITHOUT DISTINCTION, CREATING A MONSTROUS AND UNLIVABLE BURDEN, BUT ONE THAT WOMEN INSIST ON FORCING ON THEMSELVES AND THEIR HUSBANDS.

The Swiss philologist proposed an era of 'unregulated hetaerism' in which women were sexually degraded and defenseless, followed by an 'Amazon' revolt that inaugurated an era of matriarchy.
