Heather Hodges
By: Sanvi Rizvi (Scroll down for video) A Texas woman was not getting along with her boyfriend's teenage son. She came up with a plan to get the teenage boy into trouble at school.
Heather Hodges, 26, who has two young kids of her own, placed a gun in the teen's backpack and then sent him to school. The boy attends the Magnolia Junior High School outside Houston, Texas. Hodges then called the school and warned them that the 13-year-old boy had a gun.
She identified the child by name. Security guards at the school found the 9 mm pistol in the boy's backpack. When questioned, the boy was totally shocked. He had no idea how it got there.
Police were called to the school were they traced the call back to a convenience store payphone. Security cameras caught Hodges at the payphone making the call. Hodges was arrested.
"Her explanation to me was that she wanted to see my son get into trouble," the boy's father, who
requested anonymity to protect his son, said.
The boy's father said that Hodges, now his estranged girlfriend, had a difficult relationship with his son. However, he never thought that she would take things that far.
She was charged with unlawfully carrying a weapon on restricted premises and unlawfully transferring a handgun to a minor. The teenager was cleared of any wrongdoing. Hodges is being held on 20,000 bond.
