I read "The Vincent Brothers" as soon as I finished "The Vincent Boys". I rarely do that with a series - I usually like a break between instalments - but I just had to read this one. They're addictive! These books made me want to read again after a relatively long time since I'd read anything. I'm grateful to Abbi Glines and her swoonworthy romances for that!
I didn't like this second book quite as much as the first, but it was still a good read. It focuses on Sawyer rather than Beau, and Ash's cousin Lana who briefly appears in "The Vincent Boys". I liked getting to know them more, though I thought Sawyer's personality changed quite drastically from book to book. He was more angry and tough-guy aggressive in this one which is completely different to how he was before. I'm sure it's all down to character growth but it just seemed out of place.
Lana was a good female lead in a way that kept me reading and wanting to know what would happen to her. I didn't think she was as strong a character as Ash, but I didn't really expect that and wasn't disappointed at all. I also loved getting to see glimpses of Beau and Ash and how they were getting on after previous events. And the epilogue made me melt a little bit!
"The Vincent Brothers" is more of the same from Abbi Glines: hot, steamy scenes, believable romance and male characters that will stay in your mind for weeks. If you liked "The Vincent Boys" and all its New Adult drama, then this book won't fall short. They've just made me very glad I gave in and bought a Kindle!
