much too quickly?
If you do, then this might be one of the reasons your relationships aren't working out.
Dating is great fun and when you meet someone new it can be really exciting. You can't stop thinking about them, your palms get a little sweaty and you can't wait to see them again.
The problem is, if you get involved too quickly then it's very easy for it to fizzle out just as soon. If you have a first date that's too long then no date after will ever quite be good enough.
There's absolutely no need to rush into anything too soon if you aren't both ready for it. You might be relieved that you won't be single for much longer, but this could just end up scaring them away and making them think you are desperate. Instead, think of dating as a lovely meal. You would savour every mouthful rather than gobbling it up as fast you possibly can.
So take your time to get to know each other and spread it out over a longer period of time. You don't have to meet up every other day, but instead enjoy the whole "getting to know you process" and stretch it out over a longer time. The longer the better. In fact, several studies show that the longer the initial courtship, then the more chance then you'll stay together.
It's the times you are apart that will make your relationship stronger. It gives you the opportuity to miss each other and think about the future together.
Happy dating!
